Our workshops and series classes provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their practice, explore new topics and styles of movement, and learn from expert teachers while cultivating community and having fun!

This is an online Workshop Series offered through the Zoom platform. Participants will be sent an email invitation from their instructor to join a “meeting” 1-hour to 30 minutes prior to the beginning of class. Then, enter your name into each of the workshop dates to ensure you are registered for the series.

Workshop Dates:

Workshop #1: Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 from 5-6pm
Target Legs and Hips-
Props: Either two indigo or two black, & either pearl or silver 

Work the sides of the legs intensely on the IT bands, adductors, and calves. Experience deep out hip and buttock muscle release. Lengthen both quadriceps and hamstrings. Free hips, iliotibial bands, knees, and unravel leg strain all the way to the feet.

Workshop #2: Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 from 5-6pm
Neck and Shoulder Stretches-
Props: Either two indigo or two black, & either one gold or silver 

Free the neck, jaw muscles, passive shoulder releases. Allow the ball to target and release chronically held tightness in the shoulders. Using gravity and time, the shoulders relax, the trapezius is melted and the neck relaxes.

Workshop #3: Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 from 5-6pm
Core Strength-
Props: Either one gold or silver

Release tightness from the deep lateral rotators including the piriformis, tone the buttocks, work out tight hamstrings, hip flexors, adductors, and iliotibial bands, freeing the leg attachments and pelvis. Bring circulation to entire ball socket joint. Great for arthritis, low back, hip and knee issues.

Workshop #4: Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 from 5-6pm
rib cage opening/Breath Work-
Props: Either one gold, silver, or pearl

Create space and freedom in the rib cage on all sides, allowing the lungs the room to expand to capacity. Use a yoga breathing technique and the balls to become aware of the fullness and flexibility of the breath, to support us from the inside out. Helps to increase energy, stamina and enhance your immune system.

Workshop #5: Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021 from 5-6pm
Hands, Wrists, Arms and Shoulders-
Props: Two Foot/Hand Wakers, one black and/or indigo

Relieve Stress from repetitive motion. All work that we do contracts hand muscles. Connect the movements at the ends of the muscle chains, the hands, up through the forearm to their source at the shoulders. Great for authritis, tennis elbow, and carpal tunnel.

Workshop #6: Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 from 5-6pm
Release the Psoas-
Props: Two indigo or black

Systematically release the psoas and iliacus from origin to insertion. Good for back issues, weak or tight hip flexors, intestinal health, adductor stimulation, abdominal toning. Open the leg and arm attachments to feel longer and more spacious.

Workshop #7: Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 from 5-6pm
Face Freedom-
Props: Face Ball Kit purchased from Melora (melora.gregory@icloud.com) $72 – includes two balls and instructional DVD.
*A softer black YBR ball could be used as a substitute. 

Repetitive stress and tension over the years causes problems with our sinuses, headaches, TMJ, wrinkles and other challenges for our irreplaceable faces! Stimulate bones, muscles, and skin of your face, thereby assisting your facial muscles to relax, bones to be spacious, and skin cells to activate.

Workshop #8: Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 from 5-6pm
Deeper Exploration of the Hip Joint-
Props: One black YBR ball

Focus the black ball deeper into the ball-socket joint to create greater space around the hip. Intensely stimulating bone, releases muscles essential to balance and align the hips, creating power and ease to movement. The anterior part of this routine is extremely important for those who spend a lot of time sitting.

Join Mindy Miller Muse, E-RYT500HR, YA-CEP for a Livestream Chair Yoga Teacher Training offered through the Zoom platform. This continuing education training is open to already Certified Yoga instructors (it is not a certification program) and is also open to interested practitioners who want to deepen their own understanding and practice of integrating the use of a chair in Yoga practices. This intensive will explore how and why to use a chair as a prop to invite more accessibility, stability, and ease in postures and in breathing practices. Participants will be required to attend the Live session(s) in order to obtain continuing education credits. Recordings of the sessions will not be provided.

Join Mindy Miller Muse, E-RYT500HR, YA-CEP for a Livestream Restorative Yoga Teacher Training & Intensive offered through the Zoom platform. This Three-Day Intensive is open to Yoga Teachers and is also open to students wishing to deepen their understanding and practice of restorative Yoga (this is not a certification program). This intensive will review the intention of restorative Yoga and the potential activation of the relaxation response, and decrease of stress, through the practice of restorative Yoga. Through discussion and active demonstration and practice participants will learn to set up and practice at least 10 restorative Yoga postures with variations to promote a relaxation practice. Benefits and contraindications of the postures will be explored. The integration of some of the other limbs of Yoga, including concentration and breath awareness meditation, will also be explored. Participants will be required to attend the Live session(s) in order to obtain continuing education credits. Recordings of the sessions will not be provided.

Join Mindy Miller Muse, E-RYT500HR, YA-CEP for a Livestream Yin Yoga Teacher Training & Intensive offered through the Zoom platform. This Three-Day Intensive will explore the Taoist principal of Yin/Yang and a non-striving approach to Yoga asana(posture) and mindfulness practice. We will review and explore Yin Yoga’s intention of stimulating the connective tissues of the body and how Yin Yoga intention differs from other quieter practices such as Restorative Yoga or more active alignment-based approaches. Yin Posture practices will include moving the bones of the spine and in the hips in all directions, and may include awareness of energetic effects. Through discussion, active demonstration and practice, participants will learn approximately 12 Yin postures with variations. Mindfulness and concentration (Dharana) will be incorporated as well. Participants will be required to attend the Live session(s) in order to obtain continuing education credits. Recordings of the sessions will not be provided.
