Our workshops and series classes provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their practice, explore new topics and styles of movement, and learn from expert teachers while cultivating community and having fun!

Bridge Studio offers a wide variety of workshops, series topics, and yoga teacher training intensives including Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Yamuna Body Rolling®, Chair Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. Please note that our workshop schedule changes from time to time. Yamuna Body Rolling® with Melora Gregory, Certified YBR® Instructor
This is an online Workshop Series offered through the Zoom platform. 

April & May 2022 75 Minute Yamuna Body Rolling® Series Information:

Schedule: Tuesday evenings from 5:15-6:30pm, from April 5th-May 10th
Individual class pass: $25 per workshop; $30 for members of the same household

SPECIAL 5-class pass: Attend all 5 scheduled YBR® workshops for $100

To Register for a Yamuna Body Rolling® Workshop or the Full April & May 2022 Session:

– Visit our Class Schedule & Sign Up Page. Scroll down to the bottom of the “Full Calendar“, select the date of the workshop you would like to attend, and click “Sign Up“.
– Click “Next“, then sign into your Mindbody account (or create one if you are a new student).
– If you would like to register for the whole series and purchase the 5 Class Pass, select the first workshop date, April 5th, 2022, and select the “5 Class Pass” purchase option at checkout. Then, enter your name into each of the workshop dates to ensure that you are registered for the series.
– Once you have registered and paid for class, you will be sent a confirmation email of your registration.
– 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of class, you will be sent an email invitation to join a Zoom meeting with Bridge Studio. Click the link provided in the email to be brought to class. If you do not receive an email invitation at least 30 minutes prior to class, email bridgestudioatartofawareness@gmail.com to be sent a new invitation.

April & May 2022 Virtual Workshop Schedule:
Workshop #1 (April 5th): Torso Opening to Breathe More Deeply
Props needed:
a silver, gold or pearl, and a black or indigo YBR® ball
Create space and freedom in the rib cage on all sides, allowing the lungs the room to expand to capacity. Massage armpit, collarbone area and release front of neck. Use a yoga breathing technique with the balls to become aware of the fullness and flexibility of the breath, to support us from the inside out. Increase energy, stamina, de-stress and enhance your immune system.

Workshop #2 (April 19th): Deeper Exploration of the Hip Joint
Props needed:
a black YBR® ball
Focus the black ball deeper into the ball-socket joint to create greater space around the hip. Intensely stimulating bone, releases muscles essential to balance and align the hips, creating power and ease to movement. The anterior part of this routine is extremely important for those who spend a lot of time sitting.

Workshop #3 (April 26th): Release the Psoas
Props needed: 2 indigo or 2
 black YBR® balls
Systematically release the psoas and iliacus from origin to insertion. Good for back issues, weak or tight hip flexors, intestinal health, adductor stimulation, abdominal toning. Open the leg and arm attachments to feel longer and more spacious.

Workshop #4 (May 3rd): Neck and Shoulder Release
Props needed: One gold, and either a black or pearl
 YBR® ball
Lift the sternum, widen the collarbones, free neck stiffness and release tightness in the pectorals and shoulders. Lengthen your spine and feel more mobile and spacious in the upper body. Good for rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, scoliosis, and neck issues.

Workshop #5 (May 10th): Core Strength and Whole Body Stretches
Props needed:
a silver or gold, and any 2 YBR® balls
Tone the abdominals, back core muscles, buttock, and pelvic floor. Gravity and a sedentary lifestyle can cause abdominal organs to drop into the lower abdomen, weakening it and consequently also the lower back.  Lift the organs back into place, release the anterior spine and the psoas muscle, taking pressure out of the low back. Use the balls as supports, stretching aides, and alignment props to foster greater awareness and spaciousness of the body.

Schedule: Tuesdays, June 7th, July 5th, August 9th, & September 6th, from 5:15-6:30pm, April 5th-May 10th

Tuesday, June 7th: Back Care
Props needed: A gold or silver, and a black or indigo YBR® ball

Create spinal length to release back tension, including deep psoas work. Traction the spine while developing core strength. Work into the quadratus lumborum. Good for compressed disks, psoas and iliacus imbalances, sacroiliac joint issues, and stimulates digestion. Feel spacious, taller and stronger after elongating the torso.

Tuesday, July 5th: Target the Hips and Legs
Props needed: 2 indigo or 2 black, and any other YBR® ball

Tuesday, August 9th: Rebalance the Spine and Hips
Props needed: 2 indigo or 2 black YBR® balls

Release tension and holding patterns in the entire spine from the tailbone to the skull. Work the gluteals and hip joints, the hamstrings, and the front of the pelvis to stimulate a letting go of the adductors and psoas. Great for back and neck issues, as well as tight hip flexors and hamstrings.

Tuesday, September 6th: Activate the Face, Neck and Arms
Props needed:
An indigo and a black YBR® ball, and either: A Face Ball Kit purchased from Melora for $74 (includes 2 balls and online instructions) OR a softer black ball will substitute
Repetitive stress and tension over the years causes problems with our sinuses, headaches, TMJ, wrinkles and other challenges for our irreplaceable faces! Stimulate bone, muscle and the skin of your face, thereby assisting your facial muscles to relax, bones to be spacious, and skin cells to activate. Relieve stress from repetitive motion by lengthening the muscles of the upper arms and forearms. Release the neck from contracting downward.

Yoga for Your Grieving Heart with Susannah Sanfilippo, RYT-200
This is an in-person, closed 6-week series offered at Bridge Studio’s Water Studio at Art of Awareness.

Upcoming 6-Week Sessions

May 17- June 21, Tuesdays, from 6-8pm

This series will be held in-person at Bridge Studio. Grieving the death of a loved one can be a confusing, overwhelming and lonely process. Grief surfaces in our emotional hearts, and in our physical bodies. This is a closed 6-week yoga and bereavement support group for anyone suffering the emotionally and physically exhausting effects of grief. It is recommended that your loss has occurred at least six months prior to your participation in class.

What to Expect:
– Gentle & restorative yoga to soothe the physical symptoms of grief
– Relaxation breathing
– Mindful practices in a safe and nurturing environment
– Deep listening
– Expanding your capacities to heal through the journey of grief
