Our workshops and series classes provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their practice, explore new topics and styles of movement, and learn from expert teachers while cultivating community and having fun!

Bridge Studio offers a wide variety of workshops, series topics, and yoga teacher training intensives including Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Yamuna Body Rolling®, Chair Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. Please note that our workshop schedule changes from time to time. This is an online Workshop Series offered through the Zoom platform.

– Visit our Class Schedule & Sign Up Page. Scroll down to the bottom of the “Full Calendar“, select the date of the workshop you would like to attend, and click “Sign Up“.
– Click “Next“, then sign into your Mindbody account (or create one if you are a new student).
– If you would like to register for the whole series and purchase the 4 Class Pass, select the first workshop date, January 4th, 2022, and select the “4 Class Pass” purchase option at checkout. Then, enter your name into each of the workshop dates to ensure that you are registered for the series. 
– Once you have registered and paid for class, you will be sent a confirmation email of your registration.
– 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of class, you will be sent an email invitation to join a Zoom meeting with Bridge Studio. Click the link provided in the email to be brought to class. If you do not receive an email invitation at least 30 minutes prior to class, email bridgestudioatartofawareness@gmail.com to be sent a new invitation.

January 2022 Virtual Workshop Schedule:

Workshop #1 (January 4th): Leg and Hip Muscles Lengthened
Props needed: Silver and gold YBR® balls
Release tight hamstrings, quadriceps, adductors, iliotibial band and buttock muscles to create length and free the pull on the lower back, pelvis and knees.  Help relieve sciatic pain caused by tight piriformis. Free the muscles to function properly and release their pull on the pelvis, knees and lower back.

Workshop #2 (January 11th): Neck and Shoulder Release
Props needed: Gold and either pearl or black YBR® balls
Lift the sternum, widen the collarbones, free neck stiffness and release tightness in the pectorals and shoulders. Lengthen your spine and feel more mobile and spacious in the upper body. Good for rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, scoliosis, and neck issues.

Workshop #3 (January 18th): Deep Hip Release
Props needed: 1 black YBR® ball
Release tightness from the deep lateral rotators including the piriformis, tone the buttocks, work out tight hamstrings, hip flexors, adductors and iliotibial bands, freeing the leg attachments to the pelvis. Bring circulation to entire ball socket joint. Great for arthritis, low back, hip and knee issues.

Workshop #4 (January 25th): Low and Mid Back Relief
Props needed: Silver and gold YBR® balls
Create spinal length to release back tension, including deep psoas work. Traction the spine while developing core strength. New routine to get the quadratus lumborum. Good for compressed disks, psoas and iliacus imbalances, sacroiliac joint issues, and stimulates digestion. Feel spacious, taller and stronger after elongating the torso.

Workshop #1 (November 9th): Yamuna Ball Massage of the Organs
Props needed: 1 black YBR® ball
Bring circulation to your major organs! Great for digestive issues, stimulate movement and release adhesions around the lungs, heart, liver, and all the abdominal and pelvic organs.

Workshop #2 (November 16th): Upper Back and Neck
Props needed: Either the pearl or black, either 2 indigo or two black, and the gold or the silver YBR® balls
Unravel chronic holding patterns which cause the thoracic spine to round. Lift the sternum bone, go deep into the pectoral attachments, armpit adhesions, ribs and shoulder blades. Free the front rib cage to lift, allowing the neck to reposition and find ease.

Workshop #3 (November 23rd): Deeper Exploration of the Hip Joint
Props needed: 1 black YBR® ball
Focus deeper into the ball-socket joint to create greater space around the hip. Intensely stimulating bone, releases muscles essential to balance and align the hips, creating power and ease to movement. The anterior part of this routine is extremely important for those who spend a lot of time sitting.

Workshop #4: (November 30th): Release the Psoas
Props needed: 2 indigo or 2 black YBR® Balls
Systematically release the psoas and iliacus from origin to insertion. Good for back issues, weak or tight hip flexors, intestinal health, adductor stimulation, abdominal toning. Open the leg and arm attachments to feel longer and more spacious.

Workshop #5 (December 7th): Pelvic Floor support
Props needed: 1 black or 1 indigo YBR® ball
Direct bone stimulation improves the skeletal health of the pelvis. Work on the several muscles that support your pelvic floor to help realign your pelvis and ignite your pelvic floor muscles as they are the foundation of your entire torso.

Workshop #6 (December 14th): Target the Legs and Hips
Props needed: Either 2 indigo or 2 black, and 1 pearl or silver YBR® ball
Work the sides of the legs intensely on the IT bands, adductors, and calves. Experience deep outer hip and buttock muscle release. Lengthen both quadriceps and hamstrings. Work slowly and deeply to free hips, iliotibial bands, knees, and unravel leg strain all the way to the feet.

Workshop #7 (December 21st): Save the Face (30 min) & Shoulder Support (45 min)
Props needed: Either white face balls or a black and a pearl YBR® ball; & 2 indigo YBR® balls
Save the face: Repetitive stress and tension over the years causes problems with our sinuses, headaches, TMJ, wrinkles and other challenges for our irreplaceable faces! Stimulate bones, muscle and skin of your face, thereby assisting your facial muscles to relax, bones to be spacious, and skin cells to activate.
Shoulder support: Allow the ball to target and release chronically held tightness in all areas of the shoulders. Designed to do in bed, using gravity and time, the shoulders relax, the trapezius is melted and the neck relaxes.

Chakra Yoga Series with Haley Linnet, RYT-200
This is an in-person, open 8-class series offered at Bridge Studio’s Water Studio at Art of Awareness.

Chakra Yoga Series Information:
Explore the 7 chakras, which are our energetic centers that run from the root to the crown of the body. Each class will pertain to one of the 7 chakras, and the final class will be a full chakral opening.

Each class will include:
– An introduction to the particular chakra, including where it is located in the body and signs of balance/imbalance
– Breath work and affirmation
– Asana (postures)
– Savasana (resting pose) with chakral energy meditation
– Essential oils associated with each chakra

Pricing:
Full Chakra Yoga Series Pass: $100 pass for all 8 classes!
Pay Per Class: $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and teens

December Solstice Flow Series with Sophie Richards, RYT-200
This is an in-person, open 8-class series offered at Bridge Studio’s Water Studio at Art of Awareness.

December Solstice Flow Series Information:
The Winter Solstice is marked by the balance between day and night, light and dark. Come embrace balance with a flow that honors movement and heat, followed by reflection and pause. Slow down to move with intention. Class will begin with a warm flow and will conclude with elements of Yin. Let us celebrate the dark as we welcome the light.

Yin Yoga Teacher Training and Intensive led by Mindy Miller Muse E-RYT, YA-CEP
This is an in-person 3-day intensive offered at Bridge Studio’s Water Studio at Art of Awareness.

Yin Intensive Information:
This intensive will explore the Taoist Principle of Yin/Yang and the application of a “non-striving” approach to Yoga asana (posture) and mindfulness practice. We will review/explore Yin Yoga’s intention of stimulating the connective tissues of the body and how Yin Yoga Intention differs from other quieter practices such as restorative yoga or more active alignment based approaches. Yin Posture practice sequences will include moving the bones of the spine and the hips in all directions and may include awareness of energetic effects.

Through discussion and active demonstration and practice, participants will learn approximately 12 Yin postures with variations. Mindfulness and concentration (Dharana) practice will be incorporated as well.

This 3 Day intensive is open to Yoga Teachers as well as students wishing to deepen their understanding and practice of Yin Yoga. 18 contact and 3 non-contact hours of continuing education with the Yoga Alliance are available. Please note that this is not a certification program.

Pricing: $375 for the 3-day training. Advanced sign up with payment is required (payment plans and sliding fee rates may be available upon requests)

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training and Intensive led by Mindy Miller Muse E-RYT, YA-CEP
This is an in-person 3-day intensive offered at Bridge Studio’s Water Studio at Art of Awareness.

Restorative Intensive Information:
This intensive will review the intention of restorative yoga and the potential activation of the relaxation response (and decrease of stress) through the practice of restorative yoga. Through discussion and active demonstration and practice participants will learn to set up and practice at least 10 restorative yoga postures with variations to promote a relaxation practice. Benefits and contraindications of the postures will be explored. The integration of some of the other limbs of yoga including concentration and breath awareness meditation will also be explored.

This 3 Day intensive is open to Yoga Teachers as well as students wishing to deepen their understanding and practice of Restorative Yoga. 18 contact and 2 non-contact hours of continuing education with the Yoga Alliance are available. Please note that this is not a certification program.

Yoga for Your Grieving Heart with Susannah Sanfilippo, RYT-200
This is an in-person, closed 6-week series offered at Bridge Studio’s Water Studio at Art of Awareness.

Upcoming 6-Week Sessions:
Session 1: March 8 – April 12, Tuesdays, from 6-8pm
Session 2: April 26 – May 24, Tuesdays, from 6-8pm

This series will be held in-person at Bridge Studio. Grieving the death of a loved one can be a confusing, overwhelming and lonely process. Grief surfaces in our emotional hearts, and in our physical bodies. This is a closed 6-week yoga and bereavement support group for anyone suffering the emotionally and physically exhausting effects of grief. It is recommended that your loss has occurred at least six months prior to your participation in class.

What to Expect:
– Gentle & restorative yoga to soothe the physical symptoms of grief
– Relaxation breathing
– Mindful practices in a safe and nurturing environment
– Deep listening
– Expanding your capacities to heal through the journey of grief
