  • Kundalini Yoga Workshop: Cleaning the Clutter of the Mind with Satpal Kaur
    Saturday, January 18th, 2020 from 3:00-5:00pm
Cost: $30.00 per person (*limited sliding-fee rate available upon request)
“The idea of rebirthing is to release the subconscious, the storehouse of misery.”
Join us for a deep dive in subconscious cleansing. This special Rebirthing workshop will be focused on the Kriya called “Cleaning the Clutter of the Mind”, 1 & 2 the 19th and 20th Rebirthing Kriyas that Yogi Bhajan taught. This is a very meditative practice that works to release old pain and suffering, and bring us back to neutrality. Our Rebirthing process will be ended with a Gong infused restorative practice as we fully integrate into the season of slowing down, going within, and embracing the darker months.
Yogi Bhajan blessed us with thirty-one Rebirthing teachings. They all utilize the power of breathwork, movement, mantra, mudra, and meditation to permeate the psyche, cleanse the entire system and strengthen the nerves. No prior experience necessary. In fact, beginners are very much encouraged!
    This workshop invites
you to heal the pain of the past and overcome the obstacles that keep you from living your best life- awakened, rejuvenated, and present to your purpose.
    What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga develops flexibility, tones muscles, and strengthens the nervous, glandular, and immune systems. It increases mental energy and gives you a deep inner calm, strength, and grace. This ancient system draws upon a vast body of teachings brought to the U.S.A. by Yogi Bhajan. Each class includes all elements of the ancient teachings of Yoga: Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Mantra (sound), Mudra (hand positions), and Meditation. These aspects are combined into a series of exercises called Kriyas. Some Kriyas are dynamic and energetic, others are slow and meditative.
Satpal Kaur (Sonya Theriault, LCSW) is both a psychotherapist and Kundalini Yoga instructor. After years of practicing Hatha Yoga, she discovered Kundalini Yoga in 2004 at a small studio in Montana while managing an organic vegetable farm. Satpal’s first experience of Kundalini Yoga was so impactful and transformative that she immediately fell in love with this powerful technology and began a daily practice. It wasn’t long until she realized she was healing herself, and she felt compelled to share this practice with others. Satpal began her Kundalini Yoga teacher training in the spring of 2005 and was certified as a Kundalini Yoga instructor by the Kundalini Research Institute in January 2006. Teaching Yoga has always been a large part of her own personal spiritual practice, and Satpal finds it especially inspiring to see students transforming from the practice and discovering their path to fully embodying and accepting themselves.
