Treatment Options

Individual Therapy

Our therapists work with a wide spectrum of emotional and behavioral concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance use, eating disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, life transitions, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+ related topics.

We use a variety of therapeutic modalities to assist clients in their healing process. The therapeutic approaches frequently employed by our therapists include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. We believe each individual is unique, and choosing the right modality(s) is a collaborative process between client and therapist.

Couples and Family Therapy

Family and couples therapy is based on the understanding that a family/couple is a distinctive social system with its own structure and patterns of communication. Distress in one family member may be a symptom of a larger family/couple challenge, and recovery may necessitate the involvement and support of family members. At Art of Awareness, we work with families and couples to help members understand how their family functions and to strengthen their communication and support skills.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) is a group therapy program designed for individuals who are seeking a step up from individual outpatient therapy for trauma related disorders, depression, anxiety, and, in some cases, substance use and eating disorders. Our IOP program may also be appropriate as a step down from residential or inpatient treatment settings. We use a variety of modalities to support clients toward meeting their individualized treatment goals. We strive to create an environment of safety, inclusivity, balance, and creative healing.
