Now offering Telehealth Counseling for Individual, Intensive Outpatient, & Group Therapy services.
Our therapists work with a wide spectrum of emotional and behavioral concerns, including Eating Disorders, Trauma, depression, anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, substance abuse, life transitions, relationship issues, LGBTQ concerns, and grief.
We use a variety of therapeutic modalities to assist clients in their healing process. The therapeutic approaches frequently employed by our therapists include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. We believe each individual is unique, and choosing the right modality(s) is a collaborative process between client and therapist.
For more information about which modalities are offered by each of our clinicians, please view our Therapists & Staff Bio’s page.
Couples and Family Therapy
Family and couples therapy is based on the understanding that a family/couple is a distinctive social system with its own structure and patterns of communication. Distress in one family member may be a symptom of a larger family/couple challenge, and recovery may necessitate the involvement and support of family members. At Art of Awareness, we work with families and couples to help members understand how their family functions and to strengthen their communication and support skills.
Group therapy can offer a unique healing experience and an opportunity to learn new skills, gain insight, and both offer and receive support from others. All Art of Awareness therapy groups are facilitated by two therapists and are structured to include time for initial check-in, grounding, and closure. Participants must also be engaged in individual therapy (either at Art of Awareness or elsewhere).

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our IOP program is designed to serve those clients who may benefit from more frequent treatment sessions. This program is available for those who are seeking intensive outpatient treatment for trauma related disorders, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Treatment is individualized based upon each client’s personal needs and goals. We offer both daytime and evening IOP sessions, both of which are offered 3 days a week in 3 hour increments. Each 3-hour session includes psycho-education, skill building, and a mindful eating experience. IOP group therapy sessions address the following themes:
- Skills & Resources
- Relationship With Self & Relationships With Others
- Body Wellness & Creative Expression
